Change starts with connection

Making a Human Impact

Starting a non-profit that connects volunteers from the U.S. and Kenya to serve underprivileged communities in Kenya is about making a real, human impact where it’s needed most. Many people in rural and underserved parts of Kenya lack access to even the most basic healthcare.

By organizing medical camps and other community-building events, we can bring in skilled professionals and passionate volunteers to provide services that save lives and improve well-being.

It’s not about charity—it’s about solidarity. When people come together across borders with a shared purpose, incredible things can happen.

Fighting Food Insecurity

Food insecurity is a daily reality for many families in Kenya, especially in remote or drought-affected areas. That’s why economic support is a big part of our mission.

Whether it’s through providing food packages, supporting small-scale farming, or helping families start sustainable income-generating projects, we aim to give people the tools to meet their basic needs with dignity.

This kind of support goes beyond handouts—it’s about helping people build resilience and long-term stability.

Building Connections Across Borders

AmKeny was born out of the belief that change starts with connection. By bringing volunteers from the U.S. to work side-by-side with Kenyan volunteers and communities, we’re building a bridge of understanding and cooperation.

It’s not just about giving—it’s about sharing skills, learning from each other, and growing together.

The hope is to create lasting relationships and systems that uplift communities, not just for today, but for generations to come.

Our Roots

Both AmKeny Founders have lived in America for many years and recognize how blessed they are to live in a country with great social and economic opportunities. This has allowed them to provide for their families, raise their children, and even give back to support their communities back in Kenya. The same can be said of many professionals who work and live in Kenya. We understand they have struggles to make ends meet, but through their professional or other economic activities, they are better off than most of the Kenyan population.
